Coloratura soprano, Raquel Paulin, has dedicated her career to musical theater for over ten years. She graduated from the Municipal School of Music of São Paulo, studying under Walter Chamun, Laura de Souza, and Rafael Andrade.
She was a part of the cast of the Opera Academy of Theatro São Pedro from 2016 to 2018, actively participating as a soloist during the theater's season. She sang under the direction of conductors such as Luiz Fernando Malheiro, André dos Santos, Marco Boemi, Abel Rocha, Rubens Ricciardi, Gabriel Rhein-Schirato, and Cláudio Cruz.
Awarded in competitions like the Brazilian Maria Callas Singing Contest, the Linus Lerner International Singing Contest, and winner of the First Place in the Orquestra Sinfônica do Bixiga competition, she has solidified her career in the new generation of lyrical singers. In the past two years, she has participated in productions like "Cartas Portuguesas" by João Guilherme Ripper, directed by Jorge Takla and conducted by Roberto Tibiriça. She has also performed roles such as Cecy in Carlos Gomes' "Il Guarany," Lauretta in Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi," and Adina in Gaetano Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore," all with Cia Ópera São Paulo. She played Lucy in Gian Carlo Menotti's "The Telephone," directed by Julianna Santos and musically directed by Luís Gustavo Petri, in addition to various concerts throughout Brazil.
In the recent celebration of the 100 years of the Modern Art Week, she made her debut at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo with the OSM under the direction of conductor Roberto Minczuk, performing Heitor Villa Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5.
Raquel Paulin's recent commitments include a solo recital at the Beirut Chants Festival in Lebanon, the opening recital of the live concert season of the Maria Luisa e Oscar Americano Foundation with Daniel Umbelino (tenor) and Ricardo Ballestero (piano). She has performed the opera roles of Blondchen (The Abduction from the Seraglio) at Theatro São Pedro in São Paulo and Nina (Ainadamar) at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. She has also participated in concerts with the Paraná Symphony and the Campinas Symphony, among others.
